Bio

Richard Perry was born on October 14, 1933, in Jamaica, New York. At the age of seventeen, he enlisted in the United States Navy in 1951 and received basic training at Bainbridge, Maryland, followed by hospital corpsman school. In December 1953, he arrived in Sasabo, Japan, and was later deployed to Korea. He returned from Korea and was discharged on August 11, 1954. He received the Korean medal for his commitments. After leaving the military, he worked in sales. Watching television, especially games involving the New York Yankees, and reading biographies are some of his pastimes.
