Richard Edward Watchempino

Bio

Richard Edward Watchempino served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was drafted in California at the age of twenty-one. After his basic training, he underwent an extended two-month leadership training. He arrived at the front lines at the main line of resistance (MLR) when the forces were preparing for a peace treaty. Unfortunately, he was wounded by friendly fire which shortened his enlistment by two months. After the war, he continued his education and enjoyed a successful career as a graphic artist. He has served as a member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).

Arriving in Korea
