Bio

Mulugeta Habtewold served in the Third Kagnew Battalion and fought bravely during the Battle of Yoke.

The Battle of Yoke and Kanmubong Ridges is remembered for its intense and brutal fighting in late 1951, as well as the notable defense mounted by the Ethiopian Battalion against Chinese forces in May 1953. Mulugeta was among these courageous soldiers and was honored with a medal by the Korean government for his valor.

His brother, Weldeslase Habtewold, also served in the Korean War.
