Louis Prats

Bio

Louis Prats was born in New York City on December 17, 1935. He was working at Bell Telephone Laboratories when he was seventeen and decided to enlist in the United States Navy in hopes of helping stop the spread of communism. He was sent to Korea and proudly served his country and the Korean people. During his service, he worked as an electrical mechanic, mainly on communication and radar machines.  Later in life, in 1966, he graduated from City College of New York City where he studied engineering. When reflecting on his service, he recalled his favorite part was meeting new people and helping others.
