Bio

Kullabhol Fakfaipuag was born on April 9, 1931 near Bangkok, Thailand. He graduated from high school in 1948 and soon enlisted in the Navy. Upon completing his schooling and training, he was sent to Korea in May of 1952. Having served on a ship, he felt that he was able to keep a safe distance from the difficulties of the war. He was afforded warm food and warm showers when others were not, and he felt safe from immediate danger. Having seen the destruction and devastation first hand, he felt it would be impossible for Korea to ever thrive again. He was pleasantly surprised to see remarkable development upon his revisit to the country many years later. He is proud to have served his country and to have had a part in helping the people of Korea.
