Bio

Johnie Timbs served with distinction in the United States Army as a machine gunner in Charlie Company, 5th Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. Arriving in Korea in April 1951, he demonstrated extraordinary courage and resilience on the front lines, earning four Purple Hearts and two Bronze Stars for his valor and sacrifice. His tour in Korea concluded with a rotation to Japan in December 1951. Johnie’s exemplary service stands as a tribute to his bravery, dedication, and unwavering commitment to his fellow soldiers and his country.
