Gregorio Evangelista
Bio
Gregorio Evangelista enlisted in the Filipino Army in 1952 and departed for Korea in March of the following year. After a brief stay in Pusan, he proceeded to Inchon and then to the front lines. Although he cannot remember the specific battles his unit participated in, he vividly recalls the constant danger of front-line combat, with gunfire occurring day and night. He holds a special place in his heart for the Korean people and their government, who have shown great generosity to veterans who served in Korea. Gregorio Evangelista is a very proud Korean War veteran.

The Most Difficult Times
Gregorio Evangelista recalls having to stay close to the ground often while on the hills fighting. He notes they slept in bunkers. He recalls having one Korean houseboy who helped serve the soldiers food.
