Bio

Daniel Barry Jr. enlisted in the Marines in August 1953. Following 16 weeks of basic training at Parris Island and Camp Pendleton for advanced infantry training, he was sent to Korea in February 1954. He served until April 1955, helping defend United Nations positions in Korea. He became part of the D Company, 1st Marine Division, Engineering Corps. As a corporal, his main responsibilities included road repair and clearing minefields along the DMZ. After returning home, Barry attended Canisius College and the University at Buffalo School of Law. He served as a public defender in Buffalo City Court for more than 50 years.
