Join history teachers in Athens August 1 – 4, 2019, to explore the scholarship around the war and its legacy as well as the pedagogical possibilities of this history in the classroom. History & social science teachers from countries that contributed to the Korean War may apply. Special focus will be paid to the contributions of counties represented at the conference. Sessions will include:
- Historical lectures on the war and its significance
- Training on an oral history library of veteran interviews
- Case studies of materials on the Korean War created in the US and in other countries
- Presentations on the unique contributions of UN Nations
- Time to collaborate with other teachers and begin designing a lesson
