The Korean War Legacy Foundation in Partnership with the Library of Congress Teaching with Primary Sources is proud to present its webinar: Out of the Shadows: A Spotlight on Underrepresented Korean War Veteran Groups.
Explore C3 Inquiry with the KWLF grant team and Dr. John Lee, co-developer of C3 Teachers and co-developer of the Inquiry Design Model.
Participants will engage with an inquiry centered on understanding the experiences of underrepresented groups of servicemen and servicewomen. In this inquiry, focus is placed on Korean War Veterans with specific attention to Native Americans, Hispanics, African Americans, Asian Americans, and women.
Through the voices of these veterans, participants will gain new knowledge related to the history of discrimination in American society—particularly in the U.S. military. Participants will observe change over time and analyze the changes considering prior knowledge of racial inequalities in the United States.
