Preecha Pamornniyom
Bio
Preecha Pamomornniyom was born in Bangkok, Thailand, on July 11, 1934. Driven by his dream of seeing the world, he enlisted in the Royal Thai Navy. Before his deployment to Korea, he spent two years at the Royal Thai Naval Non-commissioned Officer School. While serving on the Prasae PF2, his primary duties involved reconnaissance missions and shoreline patrols. After retiring from the Royal Thai Navy, he proudly worked with the United States Peace Corps. During a visit to Korea in 2010, he was impressed by the country’s remarkable infrastructure development and the progress made by the Korean people.

Patrolling Near the Shore
Preecha Pamomornniyom recalls an incident when the convoy spotted North Korean military personnel moving south. After alerting the duty officer, messages were sent, and six American aircraft arrived to bomb the convoy. He vividly remembers seeing a man from his truck flee into the woods during the attack

Convoy Operations

Reflecting on 2010 Revisit
Although he never set foot in Korea during his service in the region, Preecha Pamomornniyom vividly recalls observing the devastation along the shoreline.
