Mauro C. Lino

Bio

Mauro C. Lino was born on November 22, 1932, in the Philippines. He worked in the fields with his father and siblings until he enlisted in the Philippine military on September 20, 1950. The war in Korea had already begun, and he soon found himself fighting on the front lines. He showed no fear as he was transferred from one hot spot to another and did the job he had to do. He remembered the rain as being particularly difficult to deal with and the kindness of the Korean children as something to look forward too. He is very proud to have survived the war.
