Bio

Fred Sutton Medley was born in 1927 in a rural Tennessee community, one of seven children who grew up during the Great Depression. He joined the U.S. Army and was sent to Korea, serving with G Company, 63rd Infantry Regiment, part of the 6th Infantry Division at Fort Ord, California. After returning home, he soon married and raised a family. Fred rarely spoke about his time in Korea, and only a few photographs survived a later house fire. His children remain proud of his service to his country.
